The word ‘según’ in Spanish has a few uses that I’ll share below:
Preposition
- according to, per. Según la ley
- before proper names and subject pronouns, according to what they say or think. Según el gobierno, la economía va a mejorar el próximo año.
- proportionally, in correlation to. Recibiré el salario según las horas trabajadas.
Adverb
- in the same way. Todo quedará según estaba.
- regarding, accordingly. Según cómo me levante mañana, iré o no a la oficina.
