What is a participle verb?

According to the Diccionario Panhispánico, the participle is a non-personal form of the verb, adaptable to gender and number.

In Spanish, the ending of regular verbs is -do for the masculine form and -da for the feminine form.

With the participle, the compound tenses of the conjugation (he llegado, has comido, había dicho) and the forms of the periphrastic passive (soy amada, eran temidos, fueron arrestadas) are formed.
